Automotive product · direct to consumer
Co-ownedPart-owned by this house’s founder with a partner. Built by this house.
AIRODISC is a physical automotive part. Physical products are the hardest thing to launch on the web, because the buyer’s first question is not whether they want it. It is whether it fits their car.
airodisc.com ↗The problem
A part that fits some vehicles and not others cannot be sold from a single page. The buyer arrives with a specific car in mind and one question, and a page that answers it for everybody answers it for nobody. Get that wrong and the traffic that does arrive bounces, having learned nothing.
The second problem was that the property had no history at all. No domain reputation, no audience, no existing pages and no mail record, which means every system that decides whether to trust you, from search engines to inbox providers, was starting from zero on the same day.

What this does not show
The honest finding from this launch is a negative one, and it is published because it is worth more than the positive ones. Early traffic to this property looked substantial enough to describe as interest. It was not. Pulling the requested paths rather than the visit count showed that the overwhelming majority of it was automated scanning probing for vulnerabilities in software the site does not run, and that the number of requests actually reaching the home page was small. No demand claim is made here, and no revenue figure is published, because neither has been established in a way we would defend. A visit count with no path breakdown behind it is not evidence of customers, and any agency quoting you one without the breakdown either does not know that or is relying on you not to.
