Why this way

The requirements document is usually wrong.

Software commissioned from a specification tends to solve the problem as it was described in a meeting. Software built next to the work solves the problem as it actually occurs, which is rarely the same thing.

EstimateLogic Pro is the clearest example. It exists because a collision shop kept running into the same gap between what a first estimate said and what the finished repair cost. Nobody could have written that requirement in advance. It only became visible from inside the operation, across a lot of real vehicles.

That is the bias here: build the smallest real thing, put it in front of the work, and let the operation tell you what is wrong with it.

EstimateLogic Pro is a collision estimating platform with an iOS app, guided vehicle capture, damage analysis and an OEM parts catalogue behind it. It was built inside a working body shop and it is on the App Store track.

Will I own the source code?

Yes. It lives in your repository from the first commit, not delivered as an archive at the end. You can hand it to any other developer at any point.

Can you work with software we already have?

Usually. Most operating businesses already run a management system, a payment processor and an email platform. The valuable work is normally connecting those rather than replacing them.

Do you build mobile apps?

Native iOS, yes, including apps that use the camera and on-device capture. We have shipped through TestFlight and Apple review, including the parts of that process that are not in the documentation.
